Most airlines require submission within 3–7 days of cancellation.

Travel insurance companies including ICICI Lombard, Bajaj Allianz, HDFC ERGO, Niva Bupa, Star Health, Care Health, and Tata AIG accept our certificates for trip cancellation and interruption claims. Our certificates include all documentation typically required: patient name, diagnosis, travel dates affected, NMC registration number, digital signature, and clinic letterhead.

Conditions that typically qualify include: high fever, severe viral infections (influenza, COVID-19, dengue), acute gastroenteritis with dehydration, severe respiratory conditions (acute asthma exacerbation, pneumonia), post-surgical recovery where flying poses risk, orthopaedic injuries (fractures), hypertensive crisis, severe migraine, cardiac events, DVT where flying is contraindicated, pregnancy complications, and ear infections where pressure changes during flight would cause harm.

Yes. If you were medically unfit on a past travel date and need to document this retroactively for an insurance claim or airline refund, our doctors can review your symptoms and medical history from that period and issue a certificate confirming your medical condition. You will need to provide details of your symptoms, medications taken, and the dates affected. Most airlines allow retroactive submission within 7–30 days of travel.

Yes. Embassies and consulates of USA, UK, Canada, and Schengen area countries accept unfit-to-travel certificates from NMC-registered doctors to reschedule visa appointments or extend visa validity when travel is medically inadvisable. The certificate includes the doctor's NMC number which provides authenticity. Check the specific embassy's medical rescheduling policy on their official website before applying.

Most certificates are delivered to your WhatsApp and email within 30 minutes of completing the online consultation and payment. During peak hours it may take up to 60 minutes. Service runs 8 AM to 10 PM IST, 7 days a week including public holidays. For urgent airline deadlines, please mention the deadline in the form notes.

Each certificate covers one patient. If multiple family members are on the same booking and all are unable to travel due to medical reasons, separate certificates are needed for each person. Apply for each family member individually. Group bookings where only one member is medically unfit may still qualify for a pro-rata refund depending on the airline or tour operator policy.
